I usually make my drums in Fruity Loop, then export them to a wav.-file and open that wav.-file in Cubase, where I can cut and paste everything into place.
Most of the times I'd like to make small changes to the drums after I've recorded some of the other instruments, so I open Fruity Loops again and, make the changes and export the result to the same wav.-file. Then also Cubase would automatically 'update' this wav.-file, even after it had been cut, copied and pasted.
All of a sudden this doesn't work anymore. For some reason Cubase can't seem to find the wav.-file after it's been changed in Fruity Loops, so now I have to rename the wav. when I export it and import this new wav. into Cubase and start the cutting and pasting all over again.
I don't know what setting I've changed that caused this.
Do you
?

. After rebooting the system told me formatting was the only option! I'm taking it to the repairman later today and I'm sooo hoping he can fix it without any data loss. I still had some songs on the HD of which I do not have any copies.
