Import Midi File- New to Cubasis

I am another Audigy/bundle/new user to Cubasis.. I tried importing a midi file into Cubasis. It DID load, but when it plays I HEAR NOTHING?? Can anyone help???
 
A midi file only triggers notes. You have to assign a virtual instrument to the midi file.
 
The assignment of VSTi's and hardware midi outputs and inputs can be carried out in the inspector which is the area to the left of the arrange page in Cubase.
