I've got my Firepod all plugged in and set up and I just downloaded Cakewalk project 5 demo version. I've got my guitar set up and plugged in. I'm at the beggining screen in project 5. How do I record? does the software automatically know that I have the firepod or do I have to tell it.

There should be a manual that would tell you how to do all this stuff. Why aren't you just usint the Cubase LE that came with the Firepod? Just curious.

The first thing you have to do is click "arm track" forget this simple step and you will never record anything. I spent a few hours of frustration before I figured this out.

What's the specs on your computer? that does not sound right to me Cubase is very stable!
