well i've been in home studio's before as the artist but i installed one in my apartment and a friend that i work with in his home studio gave me a cd to work with but how do i import the music into cubase le 4.Help Me Please

File > Import > Audio CD (while the CD is in the computer, of course)

This is from recollection--I'm not in front of my DAW.

Does it have to be in a wave or midi file

does it have to be wave or midi file to work with it or tweak some tones or tempo changes

It seems you have a whole mess of learning to do, specifically abut the difference between MIDI and audio.

You have imported an audio file from CD. 'Tweaking' audio files (specially for tempo changes) is more complicated than MIDI files.
