Hey Dan...I'm running way behind here. I downloaded this last week and am finally getting around to listening. Listening on cans at work. Sounds pretty damn good to me. Good job on the music for this poem. I'm still trying to figure out what the poem means...but I never was good at that even back in English Lit class. At least I never came up wit the same meaning as the instructor...hence the lower grade I got :D.

Nice work man!! I like it.

Jagular, we know this lady, Tamara, and her hubby fairly well, from a social standpoint. Cookouts, parties, golf outings, etc, but neither my wife or myself know any of her past history. They're great folks, even thought she is a little out there with drinking and medication. There was also another marriage somewhere. I think she maybe lost a child along the way. I know her only child with her present husband, and he's a great kid, but we're not sure about the past marriage. Anyway, thanks for the listen and comments.

Good Job. I've tried converting poems to songs before and it always came out sounding stupid. You did a good job, it sounded good and flowed well. I liked the mando BTW.

See Ya

I really liked the feel of the tune. Created a nice place.

Two things I might have done different:

Different EQ on the reverb or maybe just a little less. Sonically it's a lot different than the instruments.

The warm voice contrasts sharply with the sparkling guitars and mandolin. I would either sharpen up the voice or warm up the stringed instruments to match the vocal.

This is just me though. It has its own nice feel already.

hey dennis, thanks for the listen and comments.

Mm, thanks man, your suggestions are noted. This tune will be retracked soon and everyone's comments will be looked at. Glad you took time to listen.

Simply Beautiful

Excellent vocals! Your voice really 'sells' this song. It draws you right in and keeps you focused on the song. I know the decision has been made but I'm a voter for the mando, too!! I'm not very handy with the tremolo yet - yours is really smooth.

Don't know how this tune slipped by me without a listen. Glad I caught it - it's a keeper for me!

MC, glad you caught it. If you like the mando, I'm loading up a new now, should be up in an hour or so, since I kinda promised a campfire tune to:

"hey Khompewtur, thanks man. no chorus on the mando, just on the guitar and vocals. I did cut the high a little on the mando. and wow, I'm working on a campfire song. I was working on it tonight, thinking of trying to get a scratch track up this weekend. how'd you know that. magic?"

it's not ready for a cd yet, but getting there.

Thanks for the listen.

Beautiful tune Dan!
Needs some shredding guitars though!(or maybe put the mando through a Marshall stack).:D

hey Matt. wouldn't that be a hoot, the mando going thru a Marshall stack. LOL. But it does give me some ideas. Look out clinic, psycho mando.
