Hello,

This is the best I can do till I get some constructive criticism.

The tune is called "Solid Ground", a ballad.

Recorded on my DAW, 24bit LynxOne soundcard and N-track multitrack. I used TRacks to master it.

I'd appreciate if you'd give it a listen at Nowhere Radio. The streaming audio is not working so it will be a download, 4.4MB

Thanks

I was pleasantly surprised when the vocal came in. Very rich vocal. The singer has a very good voice that was well captured by the mic and carefully placed in a hi-fi space.

I have a feeling that it might be a tad loud. I am not listening at my usual levels right now.

Streamed for me ok. Nice mix, everything's clear and identified. The drums seem to sort of step on the vocal in a few places. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys....nothing more harsh?

Philboyd Studge....if you get a chance could you be more specific concerning the drums? Did you mean too loud in the mix? Kick? Snare? or both?

Cyan Jaguar....did you mean the vocals could be a tad too loud? I'm also surprised about your comments on the vocals. I'm still not happy with them and might recut.

Do these two observations seem to be at "odds" with each other or are we talking more about eq rather than volume?

Thanks again guys,

Rusty K
