Hello,

I saw a similiar post down the page but I already know how to record my guitar....Ha!

I imported a whole set of wavs from a song I'd been working on with another multitrack program. I also recorded a track of guitar to get a feel for it. I have a couple of questions.

1. One of the tracks I imported did not sync properly. It's lagging just a bit. First of all I don't know why this should occure since it synced in the other program ok. Can I drag it to sync? I did a quick search but couldn't find an answer. Tried changing the offset but it didn't work.

2. The second question is about bit rate. Am I correct that the program automatically converts everything to 32bit for processing then it converts it to 16 during mixdown? Could someone enlighten me as to how my 24bit LynxOne soundcard will be utilized to it's full potential.

The program performed well except for the out of sync thing.

Thanks,

Rusty K

"Can I drag it to sync?"

If I understand your question, yeah, it's easy to drag files. Zoom way in on the file, then right click and drag. It's a lot easier to find the right place to drag it to if the track you're dragging is close to a track that's correctly positioned (you can align spikes in the two tracks).

"Am I correct that the program automatically converts everything to 32bit for processing then it converts it to 16 during mixdown?"

Not necessarily.

"Could someone enlighten me as to how my 24bit LynxOne soundcard will be utilized to it's full potential."

Click on Options>Settings>Multitrack. Then click on 16-bit for mixdowns, 32-bit for recording, and 32-bit for pre-mixing. The rest is up to you.

One more question....maybe?

Cool Edit won't support VST plugs? What about ASIO and WDM drivers?
