This could have the makings of the best thread ever. It's not there, but well on its way. Lets face it, nobody plays keyboards anymore except me and a handful of you knuckleheads, it's all sissy softsynths. I would like to see Keith Emerson trash a damn softsynth on stage. Lets see Jerry Lee Lewis bang on a softsynth. Lets see a museum have an exhibit of some big pianists softsynth collection. This thread may be the most exciting Keyboard thread ever.

All I can say is, I CANT STAND SOFT SYNTHS !!!

My main pieces are a yamaha Motif Rack ES, Triton Rack, Fantom XR Rack, Jv-1080 w/hiphop, techno, house & dance cards, JD-990 w/vintage synth card, Access Virus A and a JP-8080.
I NEED KNOBS MAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
The closest I will EVER get to a soft synth would be using Sounddiver to control my synths or the software editor for my fantom and motif !
I think softsynths are a joke.

I know there is a Yamaha DX soft synth and a Korg retro wavestation/m1 softsynth.....
Give me a real wavestation a/d, real m1 and a yamaha dx.
GRANT, I have the DX plug in board for my Motif, but at least it's HARDWARE !
PS I am looking for a REAL wavestation a/d if anyone knows of one for sale.
