Which would you keep?

The 4033 is a medium diaphragm condenser.

I'd keep the large condenser. It will probably give you a warmer sound on both vocals.

Cool, I wasn't aware of that.

In any case, I like the 4033 in my limited experience with it. Haven't heard the 4040, but I hear its a bit more neutral than the 4033.
