I dig the song. The kick drum sounds too compressed, or maybe the release is set too low. The main voice could come up a tiny, tiny bit. The bass is way too low. I can barely hear it on my speakers and for this type of music you want it up front, as loud as the kick. How did you get the killer violin sounds?
I really dig the tunes man. Good voice, good flow, and good instrumentation. Keep it up!

P.S. Kinda reminds me of early Nas.

Actually, I think I agree 100% with the previous poster on the sonics... I thought the rap could be a little tighter, though...kinda' gets rushed in some spots.

Mostly, turn the bass up.

Cha,
When I first heard the strings I looked down into my cd rom drive to see if my cd was in there.I was editing the exact same strings in my sampler the other day but I couldn't get them seamless.Ain't that a bitch now I gotta freak them strings a different way....shit!Anyway I like ya style on where ya got the strings(I damn sure ain't gonna snitch on ya)that's how I usually try to do things.I think if I stay mostly OUTSIDE of hip hop/rap for samples or ideas then my music will be fire know what I mean?It will be original and shit but still grimey.I'm feeling it ....but I agree with the last post ...put the bass to boomand I think the snare sounds just a little off,but not much.Tight joint son!

thanks I agree with all of you too I think the base is to low too so that's one of the reason i'm doing it again. I may stack the snare with another sample. I didn't make the track all the credits go to my side kick HRABB. I am mixing it though so thanks for the feed back. I'll edit when I'm done mixing it again.
