Ideas for Removing CRT+Humbucker Noise?

I recently laid down some guitar tracks with a friend of mine using my PODxt on his system - nothing important; however, a couple I'd like to use for a project. These are reproducable, but I like the feel of the tracks. Here's the problem...my dumbarse forgot he had a CRT monitor and not LCD (which I'm used to). And I'm sure you've guessed by now, they were humbucker pickups. Curious if anyone knows a good notch frequency or other method to remove this noise. I've messed with some noise removal tools - couldn't get the results I need without smothering the sound I want to keep. I also took a EQ notch of about 300 wide that was bottomed out and swept across the frequencies. This helped in spots, but led me to the conclusion that different frequencies will need to be notched out. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I'd seriously just consider re-recording the part. I know that sucks, especially when you have a killer part, but it has been my experience that CRT interference can cover such a broadband, that to effectively remove it will leave you with a sound that will negate the good feel of the performance. And you just never know, you might get an even better performance next time.

I agree. The track you recorded may be tolerable once you've spent a lot of time and effort on it, but it'll probably not actually be acceptable. Sometimes we fool ourselves thinking an improvement makes a track OK but it's the change, not the real quality, we're listening to. I would re-record the track. If you did it once, you can do it again. If you record in the same place, get in a position where the pickups don't get the sizzle out of the CRT.
