Ibanez TS 808!

Someone is selling an ''orignal'' ts808 tubescreamer on Ebay. Current high bid is $305.00!!

Is this thing really worth it? I have Turbo Tube Screamer that will shake the house.
 
depends on why you want the pedal..if you want it becaue of the name, you should get it! But, if you want it for the sounds, I would rather pick up a clone. There are a few on the market that are dead on, cheaper, *new*.
 
Yeah, ametth is right on. TS808's are cool but don't buy one you haven't heard, unless you WANT IT!!!, of course. You can get new modified TS-9's that are more or less similar to the 808's here: www.analogman.com or read about the TS boxes here: http://users.aol.com/AnalogMike/ts9.htm or was it the other way around... both links go to the same guy anyways.

It looks like a piece of shit. Power to the seller, shame on the buyer.
 
It's friggin' ugly, but that's part of why it's cool. People who don't know about it look at it and just go: 'This guy's gear suck... his playin' gotta suck horse****....". It won't do miracles, but together with some decent gear and, most importantly, good playing...that extra push but still smooth like a.... aaahhhhhhhhhh... Stevie Ray Vaughn used a TS-808 among other stuff.

But $300-400....
