Ibanez Basses! :)

So yeah i'm planning on getting some cheap bass for recording!
Unfortunately I cant try them. That's why I want to ask you guys which bass is better for recording!
The sound is important. I'm not going to use it live or something.
So the 2 basses are Ibanez GSR205FM and Ibanez SR305.

And please, explain why I should get that specific model. :)

I have a 4 string GSR200. Love it. Plays great. First thing I did though was throw in some EMG's and a second battery for another $100. Second thing I did was replace the nut. I get really good recording results with it.

I have always been a fan of disposable basses. Especially for live use. Lightweight so you can throw em around and beat on em! :D

So do you think buying the GSR and replacing the pickups can be a better idea than buying the SR?
 
That plan was best for me as I am very fond of the EMG's.
 
I have a 4 string Ibanez copy of a Jazz bass that I bought in the mid 1970's and I have had zero problems with it, in 36 years string changes are all I have done. It plays well and records very well-even though I can't comment on a 5 string I would recommend Ibanez basses without a doubt.
 
I've used an old Roadstar II for years. It was my first bass bought cheap, hindsight it was pretty good.

I hear those Ibanez Destroyer basses are great, dirty like a Rickenbacker.
