to this question before asking but here goes.

I just got home with my 2488 neo, finally laying my 688 to rest, crank it up and after geting it up and running an intermittent buzz comes creeping out of the hard drive.

I am assuming I have a bad unit and need to take it back but just thought I'd run it past the kind folks here.

The wife and I did get to throw down a couple of tracks this evening and we are excited by the possibilities, just bummed by the buzz.

It may not be that the drive is bad, but that something inside the case isn't screwed down tight and that whenever the hard drive is working it's making something vibrate.

Either way it sounds like a return, or a trip to the warranty shop.

i figure even if it isn't something major, if it's acting up after just an hour or so of use I can't lose by exchanging it for another one.
