Yeah you would, I mean after all the song is making fun of you... so you'd have to fuck it up.

I'll tell you what.... give me an hour and I will record a remake of a cover tune for you and mail you a CD-R of it and you can post it if you want, or not... PM me your snail mail address.

Think what you want to think about me, but I do have the ability to laugh at myself and I think we can actually have a civil discussion when we're both not red-assed over something. If it's a good song, it's a good song no matter who it's about. I wrote song about a local performer here in KC that got be banned from a number of open mics.

Besides, it's a slow Friday here, and I need something to do.

Re: Les W's question (remember that?)

I believe his question was whether or not he should keep the Roland or the Behringer.

For future reference Les, unless this question is related to which one would work better with that particular mic, then this really belongs in the Rack forum.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled pissing match.

Oh hell, I deleted it already... it wasn't that great, but it was funny. Anyway, if you want PM me your snail mail address and I'll send you something... I'll play all the instruments and record it for you right now while I'm at work. I'll be back later.

Do you think he wants to know what I think... lol. :D Anyways, I've got to go... I'll be back later.

Check your PM's
I'll go check it now... just finished recording you a quick remake of an old Chicago song, it took about 45 mimutes... recorded it on a VS-880EX. The instruments... tapped the drums in with a Boss 707... Fender Americain J-Bass, Midiman controller/Korg X5DR, and Gibson L-4CES guitar... it's not great, but maybe you'll like it. :D

And thanks again for the great disclaimer you wrote for me. :) Now if I can only get it to work.

But...

Bottom line for me is Harvey has hard earned credibility. DJL has none. No one has any idea of what DJL has done. Not a clue. There's no web link, no posted work, no real name, nada, bupkus. DJL, you are just an opinionated asshole with no credibilty to back up anything you say. Your 3000+ posts of nonsense speak volumes about your "experience". Your lack of even basic conversational skills or the ability to form a coherent thought continue to amaze me. I have met some flaky bass players in my day, but you take the prize. Congratulations. And for God's sake, learn the difference between your and you're and their, there and they're. Repeat the 4th grade if necessary.

Oh, yeah, it's "damn" you moron. You can't even cuss right.
So don't expect too much.

I was just cruising this site after many weeks away. I'm now realizing what drove me away to begin with.

DJL, consider yourself lucky. If this place had a moderator with any sack, you would have been gone a long time ago.

What the hell does that mean?
It means that most of your posts "suck", and the rest "blow" - a clear indication of the need for a "polarity reversal".

Well thanks Harvey... and there goes your "why can't we all get along" down the drain. But that's ok, I don't need my ego stroked... and I still think most of your post are great and very helpful.

Do you like my new disclaimer that freshmattyp wrote for me below? He said it was ok if I use it as long as I give him credit.

But...

Usually it is:

Pin 1 + 3 go to ground ("ring" on a TS 1/4" connector)
Pin 2 goes to +Hot ("tip" on a TS 1/4" connector)

This makes the microphone cable an "unbalanced" signal.

Usually, but not always. The Oktava MC012 and Earthworks TC30K, for example, have pin 2 at AC ground and pin 3 with the inverted signal. An unbalanced adaptor for these requires connecting pin 2 to ground, pin 3 to signal and inverting it after recording it (unless your mixer/pre has an invert button.)

Naw DJL, I'm not helpful, so why should I bother? Especially after you proved by your clever interogation of me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I lied about the Behringer B5 having a 6 micron diaphragm. Any credibility I might have had here is gone now, so why not have some fun around here?

So I'm just gonna follow you around like a little puppy, leaving my droppings right behind you.

As far as this thead is concerned DJL, sometimes "no answer" is better than a "wrong answer".

They say 'a word to the wise is sufficient', so let me repeat myself:

Sometimes "no answer" is better than a "wrong answer".

It looks like the sig is working, unless you're going to the trouble of pasting it each and every time you post.

Dare I ask which Chicago song? Is it at least vintage Chicago, and not the weak ass MTV Chicago?

I've tried to get it to work but can't... but with it being Friday and all I've just been pasting it for the fun of it.

If You Leave Me Now.

Peace out.
When you get it you can post it or not... I don't care, either way I'll be attacked anyways. Peace
