i just wanna know it the alesis multimix 8 USB can record the drums seperately os i can edit the kick, snare and tom parts individuall??? is it possible???thanks...

The usb version condenses everything so no. The firewire version yes you can. I still haven't looked into the usb2.0 yet so I can't help you on that one.

Firewire is a port like USB, just better at sustained data transfer. You can buy cards to install in computers that allow them to accept interfaces using firewire.
