but I am not a singer, Jimmy said, yes you are. I think he is trying to make me feel better.

My two cents. Are you a singer, yes you are singing. Do you sing well, I found it to be a pleasure to listen to and thought your performance was very good.

In summary, my opinion you sing very well and the voice fit the music perfect.

I would agree completely. Vocals sounded fine to me. Fit the music and style very well. Nice job

You do an acceptable, if not particularly inspired, job- but I wonder, do you think of yourself as a singer? I think perhaps you don't, which motivated you to start this thread. Perhaps you should either embrace being a "singer," so you have some fun with it and that fun and excitement show through, or let it go.

I have sung lead in many bands, but by default, only because no one else could sing better at the time.. I never thought of myself as a singer. I feel I just yell in key if I am lucky.

Now you just showing off man.

LOL! :D

Sounds like you are hold these songs dearly man. You sing them with conviction. That would be the description of a singer to me.

...but I am not a singer....

There are only some people who have truly exceptional voices, and the kind that stand out for their quality and/or their uniqueness and identifiability.
The rest of us who can sing a melody in key and in tune are also singers...we're just not that exceptional/unique.
It's no different than a player....you have the few who are exceptional, and then you have many who are just pretty good....but they are all players.

You're singing isn't bad at all...it's in tune, you sing with good emotion, and you could hold your own for most of your typical gigs and whatnot, which is more than some people can. There are folks who can't sing two notes well.
AFA as the sound of your voice, well hey, it's what we were born with when it comes to vocals. You can try and change your voice and improve your technique, but in the end, you might as well just be yourself rather than worry why you can't sing like someone else. :)

If you enjoy singing....that's what counts. If you feel uncomfortable, then you'lll just sing poorly.

I think Miro was trying to say 'shut up and do what you do well'! Work on it if you feel you need to. Correct me if I am wrong. :)

OK....maybe I could have said it in one sentance. :D
But yeah...that's it. Don't worry about it....just keep doing it, it's nothing to concern yourslef about.

I also think your music is interesting...in a different/unique way, and it's well done overfall...singing included.
Some songs may not always be the biggest crowd pleasers, but that's OK if you feel they are worth doing.
I've done my share of non-crowd pleaser kind of stuff...but I never let it bother me.

Really....it's not that hard if your goal is to just please the crowd...but it may not be all that interesting.

I sang better when I was younger, lost a whole octave of falsetto. The voice is going downhill quickly, it won't be much longer now.
But I do love to sing, always have, since I was four. I knew I wanted to be a musician then and I feel I have reached my goal.
