found some info on a forum i frequent:
BCF2000 101
In response to some emails and PMs I've prepared a step by step guide to getting started. Make sure you don't skip or add any steps.
Make sure the BCF firmware is updated to version 1.07. (Download bcf2000-107.zip from the behringer site and follow instructions).
Start with the BCF off and the USB cable disconnected.
Turn the BCF on while holding the bC mode button (see the pdf file within bcf2000-107.zip). bC will be displayed.
Press "Edit" and "Store" together. EG will be displayed.
Turn the "Type" controller to display u-1 (Although I use u-3).
Press "Exit".
Turn the BCF off.
Connect a USB cable from PC to BCF.
Turn the BCF on while holding the MCSo mode button. MCSo will be displayed.
In "Device Manager" expand "Sound, video and game controllers". "USB Audio Device" should appear on the list. If not recheck your hardware.
In AA, Options>Device Properties select the "Ext. Controller" tab, for "External Control Device" select "Mackie Control" then "Configure".
For "MIDI Input Device" select "USB Audio Device", repeat for "MIDI Output Device". The BCF faders should move.
Press the "Edit" button on the BCF to enable the rotary controllers to control pan.
AA's faders and pan controllers should now be controllable by the BCF.
Sometimes you need to refresh the connection between AA and the BCF. In AA, Options>Device Properties make sure "Mackie Control" is still displayed and click OK.
Once you get it going you may wish to create your own presets. For this you must be in bC mode. My post of 6 January in this thread has a couple of links to presets in Excel form which you could use as a starting point.
