Hi guys!

i just joined my first band, a metal band! So i'm going to need some kind of foot controler that's fast. I own a Pod and think that the sound is ok. I was thinking about just buying the foot controler to control my pod, when i'm onstage. But, i have heard some people say that when you change channels on the pod, you get a loud pop or the sound mutes for a second. Is this True?

The other guitarest has a digitech rp-12 that i think is great! it sounds great and it seams to change channels without any prom.
The only thing is that i can't find on like his. I've looked at musiciansfriend.com and i still could not find it! i am fixing to go on ebay and look for one. But anyway let me know if those rumors about the pod are true.

thanks,

zeke

You might check out the RP7 on ebay. This is a pretty good unit and is similar to the RP-12 without as many presets.

You could also try and pick up 3-4 pedals which are more versatile in nature. Maybe a compressor, distortion, wah and delay pedal.

Taking a different sound approach may help the sound of your band overall vs. duplicating the other guitar player.

Yeah. I don't mean to be copying the other guitarest. I was just thinking of buying a boss floor prosser for my guitar. Still if would be nice and it would save me some money if i knew that i could use the pod foot controler without any problem.

The Line6 pedal board works fine..It is expensive though {over $200.00}..I don't know about the smaller Little 4 switch, though it is less expensive and it may work fine...Good luck

The Pod does switch channels a little slowly. I used the flooboard and Pod live for two years, and it was never much of a problem, you learn to play around it. The new POD xt switches channels a lot faster, but it's a lot more expensive for the xt + the shortboard.
