Hey everyone, im majorly desperate for some help here..i ordered a few wall plates with connectors, so i can put them in different rooms so i dont have to run wires all over the floor. The type of cable the type of connector that goes is the front is self-explanitory, but the back!!! its a mess...i have no clue how to connect the back to the cable going to run from it. There is just three little prongs on the back of the quarter inch ones, and they say..GR, RI, an TIP. I assume this is ring tip and ground, but how do i connect!!!!! the XLR back has three little metal tubelike things, and a prong connector, similiar to the GR on the line connector. I seriously have no idea what to do here, and just spent 150 bucks for some metal that is no use to me right now....Someone PLEASE help :(
thanks!

This is a soldering job; you have to solder the cable onto the back of the plates. If you don't know how to solder, ask around your friends for help. You're right about the Tip Ring Sleeve (ground). As far as the XLR, I don't know why there are four. But normal XLR connection, pin1 is ground, pin2 is "hot", and pin3 is "cold".
