can somebody recommend a good pair of headphones that both isolate well (for recording drums) and are good for monitoring and mixing as well? My price range is $100 and under.
Mixing primarily on headphones will generally lead to poor results that do not translate well to speaker systems. So, if you don't have studio monitors yet, get some.

I think they're all pretty much safety ear protectors with cheap transducers grafted in, so... yeah, whatever works. I use the Direct Sound Extreme Isolation, and thus far, they seem to work reasonably well, too, though I think they're a little over your price point.
