I recently decided i need to buy mics for my acoustic (and i will after buy them to mic in guitar amps etc.) because the sound im getting using guitar rig and other VSTs just isn't making me happy.

its restricting my play to lead single string plucks as thats all that sounds decent.

and i of course cant get a good acoustic sound using vsts which is annoying because at the moment its all i play when not recording.

im mostly fingerpicking at the moment. and want a mic that is good for acoustic guitar, but also one is not expensive at all. the msh-1+2s in another topic sounded great, HOWEVER i can not find them for sale ANYWHERE in the uk.

but i can go a bit higher than that in price (i guess they are around 40 dollars)

i can spend around £50 on one or even a pair. (around $90).

i rang up dolphin music to get advice and he recommended the shure sm57, and like a doodle i got one. from amazon marketplace....apparently new.....of course it was used and broken. but im kind of relieved because i hear that mic is better for amps. im very annoyed i have to repack it and send it back.

anyway if you could recommend me something that will allow me to record acoustic nicely (im not a perfectionist, or looking for something uber and proffessional) i would be VERY grateful

GT44. Find one used.
