Which of these 2 packages would be better overall for vocals?

Well, I haven't used either directly, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

Regarding the MXL mics, most people here seem to love the 603, especially on acoustic guitars. I haven't come across many who like a 2001 (and there are several folks I respect who have nothing but bad things to say about it). Personally, I'd avoid the 2001/603 package, if your primary focus is vocals.

I don't know a thing about the ADK mics, so I can't help you there.

Other good options for cheap vox mics include:

If I was willing to spend $199, and vocals were my primary concern, I'd probably buy the SP C1 (comes with case and shockmount).

I just put an order in for a Studio Projects C1...sounds great, heard nothing but AMAZING things about it.

I will support your decision.. I'm using a V63 at teh current time.. as much as people have NOTHING to say about it... it works as my ONLY LD mic... next mic on the list is a pair of SP C4's when they come out... THEN it's a C1 for a vocal mic.. I have alot of faith in that mic...
