Hmmm. I think you should get Lt. Bob to lay down another sax solo on this thing. Something more moody and somber, if you know what I mean.

I really think the tune is begging for it.

this is very nice start...
what else are you going to put on this besides vocal. and yes drums are pretty bad. you should probably pick a different kit in the DM.

I could only stream low end version so it probably sounds even better. oh wait I had to login to NWR to download ....
didn't work the downloaded version is corruted or something almost blew my ears off. oh well.

Guernica--For some reason, I could not stream this file. Every time I tried, it crashed my browser. I couldn't download it either. You must not have it set for member or all user download, I guess. usually Nowhere gives me no trouble, but I've had this problem once before. I want to listen and have tried three times, but no luck. Maybe I can try later. Anyway, looks like you are in good hands! Or should i say ears? :D
 
I'd like to hear this without the drums. They are too busy in some places imo and just kind of sound out of place to me. I'd definitely move them back in the mix and keep with something very simple to support the rest of the parts.

The guitar sounds great and I really dig that first chord. Starts the song off very nicely. I'm interested right away. Anxious to hear what you come up with vocally.

This stuff is right my alley. I love the sound! This will make a great song when your done... you have a great ear for nice chords. Tackle this puppy and get her done :) I was playing guitar leads over it and there are soo many options! Great Job! Back to my unfinished work :)
 
Is it done yet? I've been standing by to hear the finished version. The instruments, progression and posibilities have me at a fever to hear how you'll round it out!!

Sorry. I tried again tonight but it crashed Explorer. I wonder if its the over 6 meg size of the file. My provider is kinda chincy about file sizes. I tried, brother!
 
I think it sounds good. you may have already made your "bounce" by now, I suppose...but anywazz.
..the cymbals don't bother me as they do to other people. More so, the extreme panning on them VS the rest of the kit is what I don't care for as much. ..and they tend to be a tad loud too.
the egg shaker might be a little loud in the beginning too...and you'd have to live with that if you bounce, and that would make you bum later own, I would guess/suspect.

the music is fantastic. It deserves the time you've spent so far...hey, who said this was easy...eh?;)

Like others, I'll be eager to hear a final too.

sorry for getting around to this so late in the game....just missed it somehow.
 
File problems...

I've been trying to download this one for a while. At first the download wouldn't work (the other song is no problem). Today I could DL but the file is broken up. When I play it I just get a second or two of music then silence through the whole thing like the song is broken up into little pieces. Tried it twice and same result.

Really nice track! I really like the finger picking, and the whole groove and feel is great. As others said, the drums and cymbals would be a lot better with better samples. Will be cool to hear with the vocal. Maybe go back to the fingerpicking at the end like you have at the beginning.

Mixmkr - Thanks for listening bro....... Yea, the drums and the shaker are being worked with as we speak...... Im glad you got a chance to hear this...... If there was a big booger in the mix, I know that you would pick it out and throw it at me. :D :cool:

Yea......as ive mentioned im using a DR 770, and i need a better alternative.....Im open to suggestions. Im not using a computer, so i would rather have something stand-alone, like a synt or?....... that is expandable. ........ thanks :)

If real drums are out of the question, and you can't use your computer, than I guess maybe a sampler would be the way to go. I don't really know the best advice there, but I would think you could get an older one fairly cheap, and then get some good samples and load them in. Maybe someone else would have some more specific answers with that.

Also, maybe just get a real cymbal for ride and crashes. Could make the rest of the canned kit sound a lot better.
