yes but remember that 1000 posts doesnt automatically signify maturity. They must be intelligent responses and must be pertaining to the subject at hand which I believe is concerning Marshall requiring to find some worm tabs for his dog, which his other dog had eaten by mistake or something

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

There are other keys on the keyboard besides the letters!!!!

If a drummer can figure that out, SO CAN YOU!!!!

Yeah, I do need a new drummer, but only one that I know who plays. Actually he's my cousin and he got the drums last christmas but he's no pro. I wouldn't want to take his set on stage. Its a crapper and our P.A. system is a stereo and 2 10 watt amps wired together. We dont really have a singer anyway so it doesn't matter!

Dude, if you don't make it big as a rock star, your life is FUCKED!!

Unless, you're 10 and not paying attention in the 4th grade! In which case, START!!!!

He started playing drums around christmas time, do you think i realy need a new drummer. What about joining another band but i would be rythem guitar then im not sure if they want a rythem guitar though, what about bass but i dont think bass is fun at all. All we have is me lead guitar and drummer.

Dude, if he's your friend and you enjoy playing music with him, just enjoy yourself.

Dam right mate, I think we have all put up with all sorts of bullshit in bands with our friends, but really, friendship is pretty important and unless you plan on getting to the top and getting really serious about 'the band', enjoy your friend and the music, there is plenty of time to play with all the talented and annoying dickheads that you will encounter in the music scene. Being in a band with a friend (or cousin) is one of the best bonding experiences you may experience. Now get out there and punctuate goddammit. :)

Oh my God!!!!!

I READ THAT!!!!

I UNDERSTOOD IT!!!!!

I CAN HELP!!!!! :)

You should consider joining a real band if you wish to improve and get anywhere. Staying and playing with someone just because they are a cousin or a friend is not constucting a healthy creative environment! You need to play with other musicians who can challenge your abilities and let your expression flow.

Then again, if he's only been playing since Christmas and he shows potential, then maybe he just needs a swift kick in the ass and some motivation!!

My motto is never form a band with friends. Join a band and become friends.

or better yet, become a doctor, discover a marvellous cure for something and when the medical world starts to take notice of you you can jollywell tell them what to do and how to go about it, and there will never be diseases any more. next week I will teach u how to play the flute build box girder bridges and how to reconcile the russians and the chinese

I have to know, did our friend Marshall make his deadline?

Did his cousin learn "dog eat dog"?
Did he take his drums on stage?
Did they find a vocalist so they don't sound as if they're warming up?
Is a DJ a musician?
Is Behringer gear worth it?
What's the best SPB1 for <$200?

I NEED TO KNOW THESE THINGS!!!!

Marshall....I don't know how old you are. But if you're playing with someone who just started playing around last Christmas, you probably need more experience and you're probably pretty young. That's cool.

My advice is to practice as much as you can, but ENJOY playing music. Don't turn it into a business in your mind just yet. If you're having fun playing with your cousin and you feel you're both on pretty much the same level and can improve together, then go with it and have fun.
If, though, you find that he's holding you back and that you're way ahead of him, then you have a decision to make.
Personally, I think you have alot of time to worry about playing rythm, lead, or whatever.
I find it a shame that you have so many red chicklets just because you might not be asking the questions people want to hear. I'm changing that right now.

Good luck, rock on, and have fun.

Whoah, I didn't even put a dent in those reddies. There must be a million of them.
