I have uploaded an analog mix into my computer using ProTools Free.

The included MP3 converter has expired. It was only a trial converter.

Now I have the mix in a .wav format and cannot find a .wav to MP3 converter that will work with files already on the HD.

I want to upload this mix to NoWhereRadio.com and they only accept MP3.

There are all kinds of freeware programs for MP3 to .wav, but I can't fnd one going the other direction. In addition, some of the programs assume you are ripping a CD, downloading off the web, etc. The file is already on the HD and waiting for conversion.

Does someone have a link to a free or shareware .wav to MP3 conversion program for .wav files already on my HD?

I've just spent the better part of two hours dickin' with this shit and I'm about fed up.

Does LAME do this? It's free and is a good MP3 converter according to the thread in the MP3 clinic now :D

Do a search for 'Music Match Jukebox'. It is a free media player and will do wav/mp3 conversions.

Thanks. I'll do that.

I'm 'bout to pull out my fuckin' hair with this shit.

Give this one a ride...

will convert to/from .mp3(lame), .wma, .ape...you name it.

And it's free too.

Tex, Music Match Jukebox worked great.

It took awhile with my connection to download it, but it was worth the wait.

I finished uploading a few minutes ago.

I would appreciate a listen from you guys. This is my first recording and mix with my new equipment.

This is not a final mix. I'm thinking of redoing the lead vocal. Some days I can't sing for shit. Let me know what you think.

The link is in the MP3 Clinic forum.
