I need a sampler. It has to have MIDI i/o so I can sync it to a Boss Dr. Groove. I don't want to buy the Dr. Sample. It has to have a sequencer, effects, and many edit functions so I can pretend I'm Fatboy Slim.
Is there something out there under $100? I checked out Korg's new piece and it has everything but MIDI capabilities.

I also have the Boss dr202 groove box also
. i got it hooked up to the Boss sp202 sampler which works perfect for me and though
musiciansfriends sells it at 'round $300.00
I got mine from Sam Ash for $160.00.
Check out www.zzounds.com/a--2676837 for discount deals
on Midi-boxes.

Big $ difference there! :)
Check out the roland Sp808 @ $1300.00 it has
64 banks of storage samples amd 20 on-board
efx algorithms. Or better yet at the same price audition the Akai mpc2000xl Midi-production center. This box has a 16-bit sampling engine with 2 mb of ram, sequence editing and 2 midi inputs and outputs.
The ZOOM st224 SAMPLETRAK goes for 'bout $400
has MIDI-capability and realtime control. These are some of the few boxes i checked out and if you also check www.allprosound.com you can catch some good deals there! Hope this helps.

you can get the 808 for less than 1300...saw it in musicians friend for like 800...that'd probably your best choice.
