Did you get the amp yet? What do you think?

It's loud on the 100 watt setting. Needs a 412 cab for that, and a Celestion Anniversary in the combo for the 25 watt setting.

It gets just about any sound an amp could get. I have never had an amp with all these bells and whistles. The "slider" e.q. actually works, with just a little tweak your in another ball park. It's like having a tube version of a modular, but without the effects.

This actual amp I have is the amp some big rock bands would have set up behind thier marshalls. It's amazing the emphasis put on a name.

so you're liking it then? give us some sound samples. :D

The computer I do recording on is not hooked to the internet. I have to put it on c.d. and then transfer it to the laptop.
I work on that and try to post tonight.

By the way...I forgot to mention, if you stagger the EQ sliders up and down, you get the classic "Boston " sound. Most of his tone was had through crazy EQ settings. Just add some chorus and/or slapback echoe and youll be surprised how much it sounds like Boston or some of Randy Rhodes stuff.
With the first slider up the whole way, and the next one down the whole way etc... or it could be the other way around, I don't remember. Anyway enjoy the new gear!!

Here's the pics of the head. You can see where I joined the top and bottom halves.

I got a Carvin X100B head with a Carvin 4 spkr slanted cab both with that style of carpeting for $400 back in 1997. Guy never used it. Good sounding amp.
