Hello,
I am a new member, old guy, musician all my life, attempting to put together studio in my computer. I have a Dell Dimension 8200, Pentium 4 1700MHz,1.66GHz, 512 MB, 40 Gig mem, Soundblaster Live value card, Behringer Eurotrack MX1604X, and Behringer TRUTH B2031 monitors. I run outpu from card to mixer tape in, and from there to speakers. I did not figured out how to go from mixer to card in yet without problems. My software are win XP home, Sonar 2.2 XL, Reason fruity loops and i will use Pevey DPM C8 as my midi controller. I would also like to lay some base tracks myself. I also have a BOSS DR Rhythm DR660.
My problem is that i hear everything what is going on in my computer. My track wheel movement, my hard drive, ny CD noises, It is unacceptable, offcourse.
So, maybe one of you Eagles could give me a hane, and help?
Tech from CREATVE said that I should buy from a retail Soundblaster live 5.1, He thinks that DELL one is not to par.
Any imput will be appreciated.
Blessings
