I have some questions pertaining to microphones and interfaces!!

I'm looking to getting a rode K2 microphone. Would it be wise to run a rode k2 microphone on an m-audio mobilePre mk II audio interface? Would it actually do the quality of a k2 microphone justice? or would it be to much of an inferior interface? If so, any recommendations for a better interface/preamp?

The Rode will work fine with the mobilepre.

gecko is correct your rode will work fine, they are good solid mic's and your Mobile pre is good as well. But if you want to enhance recording quality adding an external pre amp to your chain would be great. Rode-> UAD Twin Finity or Solo/1073DMP/Focusrite ISA/Pre Sonus TubePre ->Mobile Pre any of these pre amps will work fine
