I have "pops" in my music.

I have a Roland 1880 and I have started getting pops in my mix down.I read a thread here about the effects cards causing pops so I narrowed it down to insert type effects, mostly compression during mixdown.I took the two cards back and got new ones but I am still having those pops. they are coming on the left and right side of the mixdown track at different times.My recording level is under the 0 db mark and my input source is clean.
