I have a Samson C03u, whcih mic can I upgrade to with $300 budget?

I have recently bought a audio interface. My Samson C03u becomes useless now due to high latency.
Currently, I have two options

  1. Buy a Samson C01, since I only use the cardioid.
  2. Upgrade to a better XLR mic with $300.

Any suggestions for mic? Mainly for vocal purpose.
 
There's a ton of mics out there under $300. What works well for one voice may not work as well for a different type of voice. Best thing you can do is find a place that will let you 'audition' a mic - take it home for a few days to try out to see how it sounds wiht your voice and tracking room.
 
M-Audio Sputnik. Picked mine up used for 300 US. from ebay.
