I'm trying to fade out several (but not all) channels all at once. Is there a way on cubase6Le to do this? Or do i have to automate the fade out on the individual track?

I don't know about 6LE, but in the full version you can link channels in the mixer. Simply select the relevant channels, right click, and select "link channels". You should then be able to automate the first one and the rest should follow.

Although, I've never done this before as I would probably send them to a group channel and then automate volume from there.

Cheers :)

this is probably the best way IMO because it will fade them all out to nothing, if you automate the group bus fader.
open up the groups volume automation and draw a line to fade to nothing.
If you link the channels and do it that way the ones at higher volume tracks wont totally fade out . (if thats your goal?

Good point, kip4. I was assuming they were all at the same volume.

Cheers :)

This is my personal preference - In the audio editor select the tracks with ctrl click. Grab the fade handle (square in upper right corner) and drag left.
