anyonw know if there are different quality levels of the final cd burn? i don't mean the mix. i mean, do some cd burners burn better cds? differenfnt end quality?
Most computer burners are going to be pretty equal since they write the data from a hard disk. Stand alone CD burners have different ways of screwing up your sound with poor DAC and clocks and they have to do the job on the fly.
The Alesis masterlink is one of the better stand alone burners.
There is a difference in between the computer burners too. They write data and don't fiddle with your audio, but there's alot of difference in quality depending on how the data is written too. Ofcourse this difference in quality will result differently depending on the system reading it again, it will result in more or less errors being read by the drive. And then it's up to the errorcorrection implemented in the decoding of the data to audio to straigthen it out again...
