What is it?...a stylophone through a distortion??..haha

:eek:Yea...listening to it again today, it is a bit shitty eh. :o:D

I would love to invite a clever guitarist to add their touch to the intro thing, something clean or dirty with a touch of whammy bar, brian setzer style maybe ha.....similar to what I can hear you (mart) doing in the middle

What do you think?
Yea mate, absolutely. If you can get somebody to put some real sparkle on it, do it. Though I'm not sure if you mean it would be good if...or you mean you have someone in mind...it's a shame someone reading this thread doesn't come up trumps eh.

Anyway, haven't had time to do anything with the song today other than give it a listen. Not sure what else I can do though actually other than straighten a couple of notes out that I've noticed in the piano. But if you're thinking of offering it up for mixing(like soul motion), then it's probably not worth me paying anymore attention to the mix. It might be better if I just export what we've got and let the others at it ?

Unless you can think of anything else that could be added but sometimes, it's worth considering that 'less is more' as they say, especially for a song. What we have so far is, Piano, bass. synth, strings, cello and a drum track. Hey, I just thought of a good idea...that intro, what about some bluesy type Harmonica ?....ok just a thought ;)

Anyway mate...let me know what you think.

Mart.

Yah Mart, you did enough already....wrap your tracks up for export.....and something will arise somehow for the intro peice. Whether harmonica, guitar or piano, so keep your piano part safe.

I dont know if Harmonica can do those notes, but it would be interesting to hear something unique. I do know an electric fiddle wizard somewhere!

anyway, I hope someone reading this post has the missing link/sound. ha

The mixers will soon be let loose if they dare.

Preparing

I got your files and I'm preparing them for download and a new mix contest.
I also did a guitar track, its ok, but Im not sure about it.
I did a quick headphone mix with the guitar in.

Let me know what you think

I've only just spotted your post dude...you should have PM'd me. Yea, that guitar sounds ok to me...don't forget that we can also add FX to it if need be. Did you record it with that reverb though or have you got it dry ?

Interesting, that echo you put on the snare...I was thinking of doing that during the one mix but wasn't sure if it would have been too electronic for ya...and then it slipped my mind anyway.

Would like to hear that guitar dry though if possible. Speak soon...

Mart.

oh yeh.....guitar is very dry.
Added reverb in the mix.
btw....all your tracks are very brilliant mate. Well done.

I've been having a mess with some intro's. The same piano notes but I tried some different lead synths in place. I know you've got your guitar intro now but I still thought I'd let you hear these just incase. There's 7 different intro's(all in one mp3) and I initially added some echo to the first one so then I decided to leave it on for all(except the 6th).

Anyway...have a listen...see if there's anything you like.

Mart.

ps...this is straight from my DAW(not my mixer), hence the unmixed sound and crappy digital drums.

If i had to choose one...it would be the 2nd one...the piano echo.....sounds really nice.
Can you do your best one for the package?....it maybe better than my guitar.

I'd love this part to be really special.

Yea...I'll try to get on it tonight.
Mate, I'd really like to have a mess with your guitar though also. I might be able to improve it given some effects etc. Any chance you could put it up somewhere I could d-load it ?

Mart.
