Hey everyone,
So about a week ago i made a switch from logic to pro tools for better editing and other reasons
I'm running a macbook pro with 2.66 dual core processor, 8 gigs of ram, a 5400 rpm hardrive, and a 7400 rpm 500 gb optibay hardrive.
With logic i was running smoothly 30 tracks with about 2-3 plug ins on them, and 3 plug ins on the 2-bus for mixing.
Now with pro tools, i can't record one track without it crapping out on me. Also, the program stops for a second, then when it comes back online a cracking noise is made when i play my guitar. Its not the connection or the interface, all of that works fine in logic. It sounds more like a large amount of digital clipping but no meters are in the red.
Please help my situation, i'm ready to uninstall pro tools
