well, just finished a two song session over the weekend where I got to try both mics out.. tried using both of them to mic a guitar cab, but went with tracking rythm guitars using my trusty sm57, however when it came to tracking the leads, the MXL2003 sounded warmer and I was quite pleased with the results.
I ended up using the 603's on the rack toms, but didn't quite get the feel for if it worked or not - I'll hear it better when I start mixing..
