so, uh, anyone have any idea wtf is going on with my ampeg 6x10?
it's been doing that for about 14 months. the light is coming from behind the speakers. it usually accompanies extreme high-end squealing (not so uncommon with my trashy pickups).
i am convinced this is not good for the cab.
if this helps your diagnosis, i recently had the top 2 speakers reconed by a local guy (notice the difference in size of the center parts compared to the other four). they blew out all the way around. the rings of light predate the reconing, however i'm not ruling them out as a cause for my speakers blowing out.
i know i can be overbearing at times with all the dumb questions, but in this particular matter i could really really use some help. much appreciated. thanks.
