Okay. This makes me feel like I'm going back 12 levels of knoledge, but patch bays have my head in a spin. I did a search and found not much helpful info. Can someone fill me in and give me some examples of where I'd use a patch bay? How bout normalled, half normalled, and all that jazz?

Thanks.

I pretty much answered this question a couple days ago with a pretty informative link. I'd suggest looking a little harder.

Gosh I feel even dumber now! I must have looked right over that!

It happens, don't sweat it. I think it was in the Rack forum. I had a link to the dbx PB-48 manual with some tasty info in there.

Sure was. I think I just searched the n00b forum. Lord knows why. I stopped by and thanked you over there.

No problem man, I'm glad you found it useful. I should also mention that there is a great book called "How to Set Up a Home Recording Studio" by David Mellor which is out of print. If you can find one on Amazon used or something, get it. It is an excellent resource for hands on studio dirty-work like wiring patch bays and soldering and shit. I highly recommend it. Good luck!
