I don't know where to put this...

My girlfrien is working on something new. Don't blame her for the last one, it was my idea and I was pretty subborn about it. It's like that song that sounds great in your head but sucks once it's recorded, I was convinced I had a great idea, but it didn't translate well.
Now, I'm leaving it in her hands to do something classier and more professional.

Thanx again everyone.

Cool man, my vote is same theme, but more professional looking. Gotta match that music ;)

I don't see anything wrong with it. Being an old-fart I think that it just shows what kids are thinking about these days. And they're thinking these things younger and younger. I like it! BTW, is that a young pic of you? Before the muscles? hahahaha

Sorry... couldn't resist...
Where the hell you been, man. I couldn't find your e-mail addy. And for some reason, I kept looking for 6-string here...damn I was one string short...:D

Yes, that's me..."before the muscles" as you say.....hehe...I was so secure then. I don't know what happened, I was doing fine...partying, doing drugs, etc.... and then I took a wrong turn and got all healthy and shit. Damn insecurity!!!:D :D :D:D

I picture a YES cover or something like that for your stuff.

Covers are a bitch. Its crucial to the CD, I turned in 6 zillion ideas for mine and 5.99999999999 zillion where turned down, I really wanted the devil dancing with the chick, the label said no way. :(

I like the idea! I think the colours are clashing for some reason - don't know why. Also I think you could get better pictures - the ones you have seem a little obvious (I think I know what I mean!) :D

Still, it made me smile!

Damn, I wish I had a label to tell me I suck!!! :D :p

I agree now that I've had a chance to look at it more objectively. I'm sure my girlfriend will come up with something WAAAYYYY better. Thanx alot.

The cover theme seems to embrace how you think. It may seem to be over the top in it's statement...but isn't that you?

You are over-the-top in emotions and perspectives of the world.

Your music IS a form of 'you' thinking out loud.

Your music has plenty of sexual inuendos... much of it representing the 70's sound too. That era was full of drugs and sex. Money also was flowing freely.

It also represents what the kids today, have on their minds at a much earlier age.

True :)

I like the image, the idea & the execution.
It has a degree of DIY as in UK '76 punk feel to it &, let's face it, the music is a result of DIY, no matter how well done.
The idea is fine: Sex & drug & dollar roll.
I'd've been disappointed if the image was slick, mature & had an internal dialogue about the more's of modern youth in conflict with the pressures of consumerism and post modernist baby boominer fatigue. Not that you aren't mature RAMI, rather that you don't see your work as a "slick" industry approved package.

True and Rayc....Both your posts really do sum up what I was going for. While I agree with others that it might have looked TOO stark, or maybe the actual pictures I used might not have been the right ones, but I really thought it captured what I 'm about to a certain extent. That's why I'm pretty stubborn about using those images. I really want to stay with that theme, but just present it better...Thanx a million for that....We're still working on it. My girlfreind sent me an idea she did, and it was awesome....but it was not me. This is harder than I thought...Gives you a new-found respect for the visual aspect of music (if that makes any sense)...thanx alot.

Hey Duder! Sorry I haven't been in contact and apologies to all here and in every forum. It's been a busy summer. Mom broke her hip two days before the 5th anniversary of Dad's broken hip that led to the surgery that he never woke up from. She finally passed on May 23rd. I got married (again) on May 11 and have just been busy as hell trying to get Mom's estate together and ready for sale. We're trying to find a house a little closer to Theresa's (the new wife) work. PLUS we're trying to get the money together for a few buildings we want on the 20 acres we bought. PLUS we're trying to buy a few more of those acres. And I've been working with a Grammy winning producer (he LOVES your drum work Rami) out of Joisey and a publisher out of Nashville.

I know I will probably get them, and if I don't that's fine. But please, any responses about the loss of my Mother, start a new thread or leave it to PM. I'll respond to all and I know that there are a lot of my friends here who will want to express their condolences on Mom as well as the marriage (hahaha). They are MUCH appreciated! But let's not hijack Rami's thread.

And Rami, I'll PM the email for you.

Don't worry about hijacking my thread....You should see how people slobber all over my threads in the Cave, it's pure anarchy!!! I got people posting pictures of me and everything, it's a hoot.
True did start a thread in the Cave pertaining to your post here. Great to hear from you, brother.

Put the 'RAMI' in differnt text/font in black under the "thinking out loud' and move that and the picture up!

Yes, I'm taking your advice and a few others' into consideration. We're changing it today. I'll put something up later on today.

Thanx a million!

Ok i was in piant for a few mins and just messed around to show you what i mean about the rami thing. It looks crap quality and everything because it was a copy paste and 'greyscale' job. haha

That's a little more what I would have in mind...it just makes the RAMI look more like it's the title, and not a thought from the young one.... :D

Nice. I see what you mean. Amazing what one little change can do. My gorl is working on something now, but I'm at work so can't get in touch with her. She did read this thread yesterday though, so I'm sure she'll see this. She might come up with something totally different, though. Thanx alot Breeeza...I really appreciate your input, and the time you took to help me. Let's await the final verdict.!!!!

I think I even like the black and white better.

Hey RAMSTER!

You have put a lot of time and effort into the music for your CD so make sure you get the cover to wrap your tunes up in right!

If it takes a little longer to get it right,....DO IT!

I can't wait to see what you come up with and I will try to throw a few suggestions your way if needed!

Gorty :)

I would agree the black and white, as least to my eyes, looks cooler. But I have never been one to like too much color in an album cover. I think the idea is really good. I definitely wouldn't worry too much about it being offensive in anyway. If you check out Amen's 'We have come for your parents' album, if they can get away with what they did on there. Then it wouldn't hurt you one bit. Also remember Nirvana's Nevermind, an ever so slightly similar commentary. What you have is a good social commentary IMHO.

At first glance it seemed a little stark to me, but its grown on me. I especially like the font that "thinking out loud" is written in, and the shadows it casts make it stick out quite nicely.

Dude...just put Rami on the outside. Your stuff will sell itself.

Ok, just Rami and a mushroom cloud.

I gotta start hangin out over here in the MP3 section...gettin mighty stuffy back at TF. :(
