I'm hella pissed right now due to musiciansfriend.com . on august 15th i placed and order and they sent me the confirmation and receipt in an e-mail then sent me a tracking number for it and i checked fed-ex and it will arrive on the 19th. then i got another e-mail talkin about the rest of my package is on back order so i called to see when i am getting the rest of my stuff and they said sept. 4th then they told me to hold on a min. dude came back on the phone and said that they cancelled my order due to they put the wrong price on the site and that i can buy it for a different price if i want to.. and i said wut u talkin about since half of wut i ordered is gonna be at my house on saturday.. they put me on hold again and then he came back and said that since i brought that to thier attention they are gonna re-route the package and have it sent back to them so i don't receive anything and if i want the merch. i can buy it for the new price!!!!! wtf is up wit dat?????? is that legal???? :mad:
 
I don't believe that's legal, fam. I'd contact your credit card company.
 
Yeah it's legal. Online merchants cover their asses like that. Check their terms it'll say somewhere in fine print "order can be cancelled at anytime for any reason.... we are not responsible for honoring misprints etc.. etc.."
I went through that a few times for different things but MF is probably no different. Try Zzounds if you don't wanna bother with MF anymore.

But doesn't it become your property once you pay for it? :confused:
 
especially since half of the order is on it's way here!! i don't think you can cancel in the middle of an order, i do think you can cancel before the order is shipped but in the middle? if the main unit wasn't on backorder than everything would be on it's way here u know?

Technically yes. But just make sure you read their policies, if it's in their policy that even if you receive the merchandise and there's a pricing error you are responsible for the difference... etc... etc... they can do it.

Either way though I'd fight it to see where it goes, with so much competition online Zzounds, Sweetwater, Samash, GuitarCenter, 8th Street...etc. I can't see them wanting to lose a potential repeat customer. That's just bad business in general. Good Luck DE
 
i read thier whole page of terms of agreements and this is the quote " if a price is stated lower than actual cost they can do 2 things 1 contact the buyer and re-negotiate a price or 2 review it before the item ships and cancel the order sorry for the inconvenience" since my order had shipped on the 16th and they cancelled on the 17th there should be nothing they can do about it cuz they would be violating their own agreement and would be facing serious fines due to the weights and measures system right?
 
I had this kinda problem with musicians friends before...i received there package for an audio interface about 3-5 days after order placement, recieved it, didnt work, told me to return it. It took 1 week to send me the paid postage, and 1 week for them to receive the package. A week passes by and I call them askin them about the return, they say there still processing. 2 days later asked them the same question, still processing, 2 more days same question and they finally tell me that they are 6 days behind in processing ! I just canceled it..shit took me about a month and a half just to sort something out and I still dont have an audio interface..i dunno im gonna try zzsounds, might have better luck
 
ay mental guitar center distributes there items from musiciansfriend.com lol i went on there website to shop online and it redirected me to MF...hahah surprised me
 
i'll let ya'll in on sumthin...the reason i'm fighting this is becuz they fucked up and sold me the digidesign digi002 bundle pack for 99.99 instead of 2199.00 thas not my problem that they fucked up and shipped it but since they already shipped it they can't cancel it after shipment it says if they gonna cancel it's before they ship so i really see nothing they can do about it now
 
LMAO id fight that...lol i wish that happen to me i never get that happenin to me i always get like charged twice or somethin lol

But yeah definitely fight it... and with that kind of mess up it might be worth it to invest a couple hundred dollars in a small time lawyer if you have to.

Desert if you get that digi bundle sell that shit on eBay and make a nice profit off it to reinvest in your studio :)

I'll keep that in mind, just let a brotha know one way or the other. In all honesty I hope you do get it simply because you'd get that for $99 and to see you pull it off would be straight comedy at its best mang.

i ordered the bundle you can see it on musiciansfriend.com it comes wit the digi002 2,000 dollars worth of software and 2 free gifts a mxl 992 and a mxl 3000 mic's .. i got the 2 mic's in the mail today and the packing slip says the digi002 is in a seperate package so i believe they have no choice but to send me it now
 
That is funny shit. You're probably like one in a million to get that luck.
