I Did It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found some old stuff i had recorded! whohoooooo!

BUt it's not music.........:rolleyes: This is from back in 91? 92? 93?, shit , i can't remember. Anyway, i found this tape today.
It's me and a buddy who was down from michigan, we were.uh..
very very STONED!:D so we took a boom box and an old 2 dollar mic, smoked some herb, and acted like we had a radio station!

I took the tape to the comp by using a 1/8 to 1/8 stereo plug out from the headphone plug and into the line in on my sound card.

I encoded at 112 because there is 8 min's of audio, it steam's pretty well! I edited out almost 40 min's of crap, to get it down to 8 min's! (There were full song's we played and such)

Just thought i would share! I must say that listening to this was very fun! I love old stuff like this!

ANYWAY.........give it a go! and please .......if you would like to call me an idiot....PLEASE DO!:D

With no recording equipment, i'm feeling a little like a fish out of water around here, so i had to post something!

LMAO, jake! I don't know, man. Mainly job reaon's, drug testing and such, i figured it wasn't worth losing my job over and i just lost the "want" for it. However, now that i run my own business, if i wanted to i could, and would! Just don't feel like spending the money on it though. Plus i could never hide it well, my lip's would stick to my gum's from laughing to much!!!:D It was pretty obvious!

It's really weird hearing my stoned , younger self!:D

Speaking of Saturday Night Live-what happened to the rock and roll bands? Every week its some contemporary urban thang with a dance troupe backing him/her up. Almost makes me not mind the lame rock band of the minute that buys their way on the show occasionally.

I found some old tapes from college a few weeks ago. Random conversation, people singing, LOTS of opening beer cans. I wish I had a digital recording chip in my head; life's always cooler when you look at it from the future :D (stoned comment)

LOL!! NICE!!!!!!!!!! That was the version off of the "pump up the volume" soundtrack, not sure if it's an alternative version or not?


It was a fun evening, for sure! I agree about SNL, it's gone way down hill!

Oh yeah , i remember the christmas tune!:D Yeah, it 's real cool to find stuff like this! Post em!!!!!!! Wish i had more of this kind of stuff, I'm getting a real kick out of it! Hell, im real suprised the tape still worked!:confused: :D your NPR interview was cool too! I figured on more "twang"!:D

And I read your very lengthy reply and I appreciate it a lot...I actually had uploaded 2 versions of the same tune, lol...but you helped make my decision.

And if you didn't catch it...it's an analog mastering compressor with the letters "EMT" on it...time will tell if it's money well spent. :D

brings back some good memories man... I had to quit primarily for the same reasons. I have about 6 minidiscs recorded in mono (160 mins each) full of fun stuff like this!

On my 2nd listen for shits & giggles after a few pops last nite, I dozed off for a split sec, & being a fan off talk radio, when I woke up, I found myself saying ..........WTF, how did I tune in this on my computer???? oh, yeah, it's just Rick fuckin around!!!! :D :D :D

NICE radio voice though,...had me fooled comin out of a cat nap!:D :D :D
