Wow. You guys are far too kind. When I listen to it all I can do is pick out every little thing wrong with the vocals, I just can't seem to fix em .
Skids: I agree aqbout changing the intro again.I 'm going to chop it up tonight! Thanks for the listen.
Toki: You are the one guy who has replied each of the few songs I've posted. Your post made me re-listen to my drums. I think you're definitely right. I'm not used to mixing with vocals, and they seem to smother just about everything. I noticed the song seems a lot less punchy and rockin as soon as I added the vox.
Guernica: Thanks for the awesome review. One of my main concerns was how the Crack Ho population would react to my work. The thing about the pitchiness of the verse may only be a nit to you, but for me it's a constant source of aggrevation. That was a comp of the least pitchy parts of about 9 takes and it STILL sucks. It bugs the hell out of me. It's all I hear. Thanks for taking the time.
Chris: If you knew what mic I used for this you'd kick me in the nuts . I'm no vocalist and I sure don't have any good vocal mics. I'm not sure if the midrang comes from the mic or my grating voice, but I can't seem to zero in on that harshness with the EQ. It sounds real bad on a couple of the systems I listened on. Never did find any "lush goodness" though. You're funny.
Scott: Thanks man
Pedullist: Hetfield? If only. And no, I don't talk like that. It's just that I have zero singing technique or experience and I was just trying to sound "cool". Forced it is, friend. Can't help but wonder" Do you look like that? You look at bit..... just kidding, your avatars crack me up.
Turnip: What's a pelota?
Everybody else: thanks for listening. My lunch hour is about up and I haven't eaten yet, but I'm grateful for the help.
