Yep. Don't EQ so much, or at all.

The biggest lesson I ever learned was to get it right when you are tracking. If it's not right going in, it won't sound right coming out, no matter what you do.

It's better to track it right then to fix it in the mix.

If you eq everything, then nothing is eq'd.
