Yea it does suck for searching for short terms.

You can always use google to search a specific site.

If you type

"site:https://homerecording.com/bbs db"

into Google then it will only search this website. ;)

If we all used the search exlusively, then we wouldn't get a chance to post things that are completly meaningless in order to get out post count up. ;)

you can search for short terms

if you use a wildcard with the term

eg c1* instead of c1

Yeah. Thanks danny.guitar and cannabis.

A few months ago I bought an inexpensive elec bass. I knew practically nothing about it. I searched here and got tons of info that helped me buy just the right bass and amp for what I needed. Bottom line is that I got better info than I might have if I had started a thread asking something that had been asked 3 weeks before. I didn't want attention, I wanted a good bass.

Before you post a question use the search function, or Google. Then ask any question you want that's more specific or current than the info you gathered. A plus to doing that is that people who DO know about the subject will tend to hang around if discussions are interesting.

Exactly!!!! :D :D

I think it's safe to say that pretty much every question has already been asked...well, almost every question. Not to mention a lot of them being 3 or more years old it feels like going back in time. With that said, I've still learned a lot with the search function.

But if everyone used it all the time there would be no new posts and this forum would be pretty boring and more of an archive than a message board. :(
