Hustle Magic (review) and talks about HM2

I was going to do a poll on this but it only limits me to 12. So I'll do it this way.

Since we're all fam here and do it professional style, what were your top 5 tracks on the compilation?

If you had anything to do with a song on HM, (beats, lyrics, production, etc.) then please don't vote one of your own tracks on your list.

I'm doing this to work out a new format for songs and such for HM2. Hopefully, this will get stuff done a LOT quicker. Be patient on HM2 because I feel we need to get as much word out about HM1 as possible before we get crackin' on HM2.

And since I brought that up, I will tell you what I'm thinking as far as that. Instead of BKnot and myself conducting the mayhem, there will be a panel of critics (possibly 5 to 7 people) who will discuss all submissions. Some may be from the forum, some may not be, in order to keep from being biased (that part is still getting worked out). Also, there will be some tracks in there that will put different people together to mix styles together and keep it flowing.

For example, there might be 3 rappers handling verses and hooks, a separate beatmaker, and a separate mixing engineer. If we all come together, it shows us as a unit, yet all with our own ties as well, which should make the comp more structured than this one.

Any new ideas for that post them in this thread and they will be considered.

I will not be voting..cause i like every damn thing on the Compilation...everything is my Favorite :D

1. Change feat. Hard Target - Fight 2 Breathe
(Change you and Hard Target did another joint that was straight fire, but I can't remember the name of it. If you could help a playa out, I'd appreciate it).

2. Burn feat. C.D. of South Side Legends - We Real Down Souf

3. Cha Lin - I'm Only A Man

4. Red Kross - Step Up Your Defense

5. Slept On Fam - From The Bottom

Many of the tracks I did like, but those 5 (outside of any I was on) were the ones that stuck out to me.

Umm yeah... I submitted it for HM but it wasn't on there...

I don't remember the name of it, we've done so many tracks together...

I'll try and find it.

Do you have a copy of the MP3? I know I sent it to you and Fiev a long while back... I searched my PC and I don't have it.

I might have the session on a back up DVD around here somewhere... We could put it on HMII.
 
I think i have it on CD somewhere at home..i have to check to see...this weekend..
 
I was wanting that to be on the original HM but I couldn't find it. I think I lost it when I had to swipe the laptop. I'll check Hard Target's soundclick and see if it's still there.

And that most def will make the HM2 cut.

I will check to see if i have it still on CD..that i keep in the car to listen to get a feel of all the tracks we had for the Compilation..i know its on their..and will send it to you all this weekend after i finish workin on this track that is due to a client..

I know I have the session somewhere on a DVD. I'll find it this weekend, finish mixing it and upload it.
