hum / RFI question

I'll write back on the status at some point..just a pain in the ass now, another 24 cables to disconnect <still gotta hook up 3 more ADATs since I disconnected them all to clean them>, and gotta un-snake it through the wall/floor..and then coil it to ship it..ugh..maybe I should just be a jerk and buy a new one at some evil place like MARS and then return the old one..hmm I wonder if there's a serial # somewhere or not..might be easiest way :P

ARGH!

Ok, what's going on here...I'm getting AM radio on a channel that wasn't having any problems when I tested each individual channel at the box, by plugging in an empty XLR..I even tested with an SM57 at highest pre-amp gain, and now that I have the Neumann actually mounted and setup, it's coming in again..could it be because of the power lines in the ceiling? Or should that not matter because assuming the mic cable is properly grounding the mic to the mixer...? I have a 1402 VLZ Pro too, and I'm gonna try plugging into that a little later tonight..but this is annoying me now :P Horizon gave me an RMA # for the snake, but wtf..could the snake itself just be defective? I'll try running a 100fter up the stairs and such later too..hmm...
