Senior MemBREH
Basically my drum mics came through the post today and this is my first recording of my drumkit i have done (so its not great.) I havnt run this through a compressor or noise gate or anything else i just added some reverb in soundforge afterwards. the mics are below. All are shure by the way.
3 toms= PG56 on each one
Snare= SM57 (fake asian copy)
Bass drum= PG52
No overheads.
My mic stands havnt arrived yet so i couldnt use the overheads and the snare mic is balanced on a music stand.
all those mics were just run through a Behringer
Eurotrack UB***(cant remember) and out of the main output of the mixer into the line in on a really old, crappy computer. and then soundforge.
Im just wondering what i could improve on next time. i like the punchy bass and the snare.
BTW. the file has been compressed, decompressed, compressed, changed format etc.. lots of times so the quality isnt great. i am very tired so the drumming is TERRIBLE. and i think the beggining doesnt really have much life in it. it sounds really comporessed. and thats about it.
Thanks for your time. Breeeeza x
