Tascammer
Im trying to go from my mixer (behringer) to my Tascam424 to record my drums.

Im running my mixer to the subinput of the Tascam. I have 2 ohs and Bass drum and snare into the mixer, than routed to tascam for recording. I cant figure out how to assign the mixer to just one track. I.E. drums to track2, guitar track 1 / bass guitar track 3 / vocals track 4.

I cant figure out how to assign the mixer to just one track. Im not even sure if that is the proper way to even do this?

Any help would REALLY be appreciated!

Can't you just use the right input of the sub in, and select "Buss R" as the input for track 2? You wouldn't even need to plug in the left side cable. Just make sure on your Berry mixer that all your drum tracks are either panned hard right or at least all panned equally (all centered, etc.). If you are going to dump your drum mics all down to one track, there is no need to pan them into any sorta stereo config.

Alternatively (if you are recording drums during a seperate take from the other intruments), you could avoid the mixer altogether and just use the 4 mic inputs on the tascam, pan them all hard right, select Buss R for track 2, and you will get the same result, with less equipment. (unless you really like the preamps on the Berry mixer better than the tascam's - might be worth trying it both ways.)
