Wow, huge improvement, amazing.
Yes, this is a much, much better mix for your vocal, you da star man, and now we know it for sure.
The bass is booming up a bit. It can come down, and this could be your monitoring situation. Use headphones as part of your reference, good flat headphones.
EQ the bass in the bandwidth areas it is booming out ... and this will make your excellent vocal performance shine even more.
Believe it or not, the vocal can come up further, but I'll explain how to do that effectively in a moment.
Now at 1:34, I know you are saying ... well that's plenty loud, that's really to loud.
Well, it's NOT, it is a great opportunity for DYNAMICS, and it is very very effective, it is a typical chorus buildup and it's very effective, don't mess with that.
If you wanted to bring the softest parts of the vocal up ... you could do this with volume envelopes and it's a hell of a lot of work, and you have to get really good at that ... and you should have that skill ... OR
you could apply compression to the entire vocal, and just a tiny amount of compression maybe a 4:1 ratio, soft knee and then ...
normalize only the vocal track, yes, normalize the vocal track after you compress gently.
Then you will have a track that rides nice and on top of the mix, in all places, and never become 'obviously' too loud.
So, this is a really, really nice song, a very nice effort.
As any mix can be, it can be improved.
I suggest you move on to your next song, and come back to this in the future, I'm anxious to hear some more of your stuff !
The hook at the end is ... excellent.
This is very marketable material.
Good JOB !
